MaiVue Xiong appointed to the Board of Directors of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce

The law firm of Weld Riley, S.C. is pleased to announce MaiVue Xiong has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce.

Commenting on MaiVue’s appointment, Firm President Steve Weld expressed the following, “MaiVue is an integral part of the Weld Riley team and has proven to be a valuable asset early in her career. Her appointment to the Chamber Board is recognition by her peers of her strengths and commitment to the Chippewa Valley.”

MaiVue is originally from Altoona and received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. After completing law school, she helped form the Hmong Professionals of the Chippewa Valley (HPCV), a group focused on bringing Hmong professionals together to make positive changes in the community.

MaiVue’s practice at Weld Riley focuses on business formations and sales/purchases, banking and financing services, real estate and landlord/tenant law, and trademark and copyright law. She also has expertise and provides advice on nonmetallic (frac sand) mining issues for companies and landowners.

The Weld Riley, S.C. law firm was formed in 1991 and is comprised of Litigation, Labor and Employment, Business, Estate Planning, Real Estate, and Government Relations Sections. The firm employs 76 people in its Eau Claire, Menomonie and Black River Falls offices.
