Attorney Stephen L. Weld in Eau Claire, Menomonie, Black River Falls, and Wausau

Steve focuses on labor and employment law.  He is a member of the Employment and Labor Law Section (former member of the Board of Directors) of the Wisconsin Bar Association, the Eau Claire County Bar Association, the Chippewa Valley Society for Human Resource Management (past President), and the Wisconsin School Attorneys Association (past President and recipient of the Tipler Award for his work on behalf of school districts).  In 2025, Steve received a Special Recognition (Award) for Service to Wisconsin from the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (WASDA).

Steve has been a contributing author to Municipal Labor Relations in Wisconsin and How Arbitration Works.  He has been annually selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America since 1995 and has been named as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer.

Steve graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Wisconsin Law School.  He formerly worked as a staff attorney for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, as Assistant City Attorney for the City of West Allis, and as an associate and shareholder at Mulcahy & Wherry, S.C.
